Chhath Puja is a Four-Days Day long strict and spiritual observance. The first day of the Chhath Puja includes taking a dip in the holy swash/ any water body. People also take the water of Ganges to their homes to perform special immolations and rituals. Houses are completely gutted on this day. The alternate day of Chhath, also known as Kharna, involves addicts observing a day long presto, which is broken in the late evening after performing the deification of Mother Earth. The immolations to the God include rice pudding( kheer) and fruits, which is distributed among family members and musketeers. The third day of Chhath goes in the medication of the prasad( immolations) for the evening immolations, also known as Sanjhiya Arghya. In the evening, large figures of addicts gather on the banks of gutters and make immolations( Arghya) to the setting sun. The folk songs are played displaying the culture and history of Bihar. The night of the third day substantiations a various event known as Kosi. A cover is made from sugarcane sticks and lighted earthen lights are placed inside the cover along with baskets filled with prasad. On the fourth and final day of Chhath, family members and musketeers go to the banks of gutters before daylight and making immolations( Arghya) to the rising sun. After this ritual, addicts break their fast and distribute Prasad to neighbors and cousins.
