Driving License Rules:-
Driving Tests:- Applicants will no longer need to visit Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) for driving tests. Instead, they can choose to take the test at authorized private centers, which will be certified by the government.
Penalties:- Fines for driving without a valid license will range from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000. Additionally, if a minor is caught driving, their parents could face a hefty fine of ₹25,000, and the vehicle’s registration will be cancelled.
Documentation:- The required documents for obtaining a driver’s license will be streamlined, with clear information provided to applicants about what they need to submit.
Environmental Measures:- There are plans to phase out 9,000 old government vehicles and improve emission standards to make the roads more environmentally sustainable .
Aadhaar Card Rules:-
Address Updates:- The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) now requires proof of address for any changes. This means citizens must submit one of 32 accepted documents, such as a passport or voter ID, to update their Aadhaar address.
New Forms:- UIDAI has introduced new forms for both residents and non-residents (NRIs) for enrolling and updating information in Aadhaar. These changes aim to make the process more accessible.
Online and Offline Updates:- The 12-digit Aadhaar number can now be updated both online and offline, offering greater flexibility for users.
