Srinagar The Election Commission on Tuesday issued the announcement for the first phase of the assembly choices in Jammu and Kashmir, marking the launch of the nomination process.
Voting will be held on 24 seats in the Union Territory in the first phase of the election on September 18.

The last date for filing nominations for the first phase of assembly pates is August 27 while the scrutiny will take place on August 28. The last date for the pullout of candidature is August 30.
The seats, which will go to pates in the first phase, are Pampore, Tral, Pulwama, Rajpora, Zainapora, Shopian, D H Pora, Kulgam, Devsar, Dooru, Kokernag( ST), Anantnag West, Anantnag, Srigufwara- Bijbehara, Shangus- Anantnag East, Pahalgam, Inderwal, Kishtwar, Padder- Nagseni, Bhadarwah, Doda, Doda West, Ramban, and Banihal.

A aggregate of 90 assembly constituencies will go to the pates in Jammu and Kashmir. The last assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir was held in 2014.

The Election Commission has also blazoned that assembly pates in Haryana will be held on October 1. Votes for both Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana will be counted on October 4.

Jammu And Kashmir Election 2024 date-

Assembly choices for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir will be held from September 18 to October 1, the Election Commission blazoned on Friday( August 16, 2024).

While polling in Jammu and Kashmir will be held across three phases, Haryana will have one phase. The counting of votes will take place on October 4, 2024. Maharashtra and Jharkhand are the other States that will go to pates this time.

On August 14, the Election Commission held a meeting with Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. In December last time, the Supreme Court had directed the Centre to conclude the election process in the Union home by September 30, 2024.

The terms of the being legislative Assemblies will end on November 3( Haryana), November 26( Maharashtra) and January 5, 2025( Jharkhand) and pates are needed to be conducted before the completion of their terms.

Jammu And Kashmir Election 2024 Seats-

In Jammu and Kashmir, the important- awaited assembly election will be held in three phases where the process of nominations starts from the 20th of this month while the results will be declared on 4th October.

The Jammu and Kashmir assembly has 90 seats. Voting will be held for 24 seats in sections Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Kulgam, Ramban, Kishtwar and Doda sections in the first phase on 18the September.

Another 26 seats of Ganderbal, Srinagar, Budgam, Poonch, Reasi and Rajouri sections will bounce in the alternate phase on 25th September. The final phase, on October 1st, will see voting in 40 seats of Bandipora, Kupwara, Baramulla, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba and Kathua sections.

All political parties including BJP, Congress, National Conference, PDP, Apni Party, Democratic Progressive Azad Party and CPI( M) and general people have ate the advertisement of assembly bean schedule.

Out of the total 90 assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, 74 are general, seven are reserved for SC campaigners and nine are reserved for ST campaigners.

Out of the total 87 lakh nine thousand choosers in Jammu and Kashmir, 44 lakhs and 46 thousands are males and 42 lakhs and 62 thousands are ladies.

lakh are first- time choosers and 20.7 lakh are youthful choosers. still, the final namer list will be published on 20th of this month.

Jammu And Kashmir Election 2024 Result-

The Jammu & Kashmir, the National Conference and the BJP won 2 seats each. An Independent, Abdul Rashid Sheikh, also won.

Former principal ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti lost from the Baramulla and Anantnag- Rajouri seats independently. In the Baramulla seat, jugged leader Abdul Rashid Sheikh, also called, mastermind Rashidwon against the National Conference leader Omar Abdullah. In the Anantnag- Rajouri seat, PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti complimented NC’s Mian Altaf Ahmad who leads by a huge periphery from the seat.

The National Conference is leading in the Srinagar and Anantnag- Rajouri constituencies, while the Udhampur and Jammu seats have the Bharatiya Janata Party in the lead.

This is the first election of Jammu and Kashmir as a UT since it was a part of the State of Jammu and Kashmir until 2019, when the special status of the State was abandoned and it was divided into two Union homes(  Ladakh) under the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.

The General choices were also the first major bean since the tagged State Assembly was dissolved; the special status of the fiefdom disannulled by the BJP- led Union government; the Valley was subordinated to months of Internet shutdowns.

The region recorded the loftiest namer turnout in the last 35 times, according to the Election Commission. The Union Territory suggested in the first, alternate, fourth, fifth and sixth phases of the Lok Sabha election, listed on April 19, April 26, May 13, May 20 and May 25 independently. One of the UT’s five constituencies suggested in each phase.

Jammu And Kashmir Election 2024 BJP Seeker List-

On the BJP Election Committee meeting at the party office, Reddy said that the final decision on the campaigners will be of the public election commission.” The final decision will be of the public election commission. The state election commission will recommend the names, also we will recommend a panel from that. Eventually, under the leadership of BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda ji, the names of the campaigners will be finalised.As the last date for nomination is August 27, it’ll be blazoned this week only,” he added. He further said that the party’s main end is to cover Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism, nepotism and corruption.

” Our party works in concinnity. We’ve to cover Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism, nepotism and corruption. Theanti-development forces should n’t get into power again.Brotherhood and peace prevails in J- K after the invalidation of Composition 370,” he added. He further said that the party’s main end is to cover Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism, nepotism and corruption.
