Karwa Chauth Vrat Katha 2024-
The legend of Karwa Chauth recounts the story of a woman named Karwa, who had seven doting sisters. These sisters held a deep affection for her. One day, while visiting her parents’ home, Karwai chose to observe a Nirjala Vrat, a fasting ritual without the consumption of water, in expedients of icing her hubby’s well- being. As the day progressed, Karwa grew decreasingly weak due to hunger and thirst, ultimately collapsing. Her sisters, unfit to witness her suffering, supplicated her to break the fast and have a mess. Despite their pleas, Karwa remained bent , steadfastly dieting until the moonrise. In an attempt to help her, her sisters cooked a plan. They mounted a Pipal tree and, using a sieve and a honey, mimicked the moon’s appearance, seeking to deceive Karwa into allowing that the moon had risen, allowing her to break her fast.
